Marcia has been an integral part of the Aloha team since 2014, bringing a wealth of experience in behavioral health with a strong focus on holistic, patient-centered care. With a background that includes working with foreign adoptions, troubled youth in a residential home for boys aged 12-18, and in an adult inpatient behavioral health unit, Marcia has developed a deep understanding of the complex psychological and emotional needs of individuals across the lifespan.
Her expertise encompasses a wide range of behavioral health challenges, including substance abuse, marital difficulties, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and trauma. Drawing from her personal experiences as a mother of seven adult children and a grandmother to 10, Marcia understands the impact of family dynamics and life transitions on mental and emotional well-being. She uses this understanding to build rapport and support patients in overcoming a variety of issues, particularly those involving family systems, relationships, and adjustment to life changes.
Marcia holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Weber State University and a Master’s Degree from the University of Phoenix, equipping her with the educational foundation necessary to provide effective, evidence-based interventions. She specializes in Solution-Focused Therapy and Reality Therapy, tailoring her approach to meet the specific needs of each individual. By integrating therapeutic techniques with a focus on practical solutions, Marcia helps patients gain the skills and insight necessary for managing their symptoms, building resilience, and achieving personal growth.
