Steve has over 25 years of experience in clinical practice, having worked with adolescents, families, adults, and couples coping with mood and anxiety disorders, grief and loss, adjustment issues, and behavioral problems. He earned his Baccalaureate Degree in Behavioral Science and Health and Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Utah, specializing in clinical practice. His residency was completed at an adolescent residential treatment center where he later served as Clinical and Residential Director for over ten years. Steve has worked in adolescent residential and day treatment centers across the country, which has provided him with a unique perspective on the many challenges facing adolescents and their families and the powerful resilience that every individual possesses inside. Steve has been exposed to a variety of therapy approaches and interventions to assist in the process of healing. His passion continues to be helping adolescents, families, adults, and couples struggling with emotional and behavioral disorders. He believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship, and views his role as assisting others on their journey to emotional well-being and personal contentment.
